DANCE

Dancing can symbolize or express emotions, ideas or simply tell a story.  The Limerick Academy of Performing Arts offers a wide range of dance styles for all ages and will cater for student who wish to compete, exercise or just have fun.

Pre-Dance

A special class has been developed to introduce the 4 - 7 year olds to the different dance styles.  Creativity is fundamental in children's development and this programme is designed to develop creativity through dance.  Introducing young children to such styles as ballet, hip hop and latin american dance, assists in the development of creativity and the building of confidence.

All Other Dance Styles

The Limerick Academy of Performing Arts will cater for students of all ages who can choose a number of dance disciplines from Ballet, Ballroom (Latin American), Salsa and Hip Hop.  One can join a group class, develop a corporate group or have individual tuition exspecially for the Bride and Groom wishing to perform their first dance.

One of the Academy's dance teachers is Erika Törökgyörgy who arrived in Ireland in 2007 from Hungry bringing with her a vast amount of skills and experience.  Erika developed her dance skills in her parents dance school from a very young age and after studying dance and the teachingof dance, she became a renowned international professional competitor.  While Erika now concentrates on teaching in Ireland, her family remain in the international dance circuit where one younger syster is the current world amateur champion in Latin American Dance and another designs/produces professional dance costumes.
